What Is Your Go To Tea?

Choose Your Perfect Cup

Tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world next to water, and can be found in almost 80% of all U.S. households. It is the only beverage commonly served hot or iced, anytime, anywhere, for any occasion. Cuples Tea carries over 50 kinds of loose tea, including black teas, green teas, herbal teas (infusions), and flavored teas (black or green tea plus other flavors.)

Black Tea

While there are many benefits to drinking tea across the board, the most I come in contact with in regards to black tea is the feeling of alertness from the caffeine content. Despite the fact that Matcha has generally more caffeine per serving, this misconception is a long reeducation process for the general public that will take time.

Green Tea

Green tea is packed with antioxidants. These antioxidants, called catechins, help boost the body’s immunity and also reduce muscle damage caused by exercise. These same antioxidants also work to burn body fat for energy. This means that drinking green tea can help you lose weight quicker!

White Tea

White tea leaves and buds are picked just before they are fully open. White tea is the least processed of the three teas. Because of this, it retains a high amount of antioxidants. This is thought to be one reason why white tea has many health benefits. Known to help reduce the risk of heart disease, combat skin aging and even help with weight loss.

Herbal Tea

Herbal teas will differ in strength, but a general guideline is that the longer they steep, the more beneficial they become. Each herb will have different responses, and it is best to go with the recommended time on the blend provided.

Oolong Tea

Oolong tea has a more diverse flavor, body, and complexity than many other teas. The level of caffeine in oolong tea blends fall between the caffeine found in black tea and green tea, putting it in the higher range of caffeinated teas.

Maté

Yerba Maté is often consumed as a stimulant drink. It helps to eliminate fatigue, stimulating metal and physical activity, and because of its active chemical (Xanthine’s) effect on the central nervous system, it is used to stimulate mental energy as well.

Cuples Tea House will be designed to include a tea bar for our tea tastings, relaxed comfortable urban inspired atmosphere, and retail boutique.

THE URBAN TEA EXPERIENCE

3 good reasons to love tea

Taste

Great tea will have a strong, recognizable taste. Sipping your tea slowly, allowing the tea to roll over different parts of your tongue allows you to noticing the different flavor notes and mouthfeels. The next time you steep a new tea, check out these four senses: sight, touch, smell and taste. Pay attention to how the tea leaves unfurl to release the full flavor of your tea. #BookYourTeaTasting

Health Benefits

Teas have been shown to have a positive effect on mental health and wellbeing. Drinking tea is known to improve mental clarity, and may help reduce the impact of stress on both mind and body. It has long been recommended for a good memory, and is frequently used for nervous tension or anxiety.

Connection

Tea causes us to slow down. We have to wait for our water to boil, for our tea to steep and then we wait for it to cool down. It is in these moments when we pause that we are able to absorb all of the beautiful things around us. #TeaTastingPage

Whitley Granberry

UMMM UMMM GOOD! I Love my Tea strong. Some of my favorite teas are Bourbon Black Tea, Black Tea and Peach Oolong. I typically mixed the Black Bourbon and Peach. It's so flavorful. I would have shared a picture of how nicely it brewed but it's all gone now. đź’– I highly recommend.

Arnetta Backus

After twenty minutes of walking in a random snow storm in March, the place was a god send. The owners are so friendly and knowledgeable. The tea was delicious and the "tea flight" was an ingenious way to sample new things without needing to commit to a large amount. Will definitely be visiting as often as I can!
