ELEVATING TEA EDUCATION FOR THE MODERN TEA CONNOISSEUR

Our interactive tea tasting/education workshops seeks to inspire a passion for the love of tea. This workshop is the perfect opportunity for your guest to learn the basics and gain some serious tea knowledge. Participants will learn the history of tea, its origin, how tea leaves are processed into different tea types, explaining the differences between white, green, oolong, black, fermented and herbal infusions as well as some valuable health benefits.

You will learn about how to prepare tea, the different tea flavors, the proper brewing tips and water temperature and so much more.

Join us on a virtual journey we can help you create a richer tea experience.

Creating Tea Snobs – One Cuppa At A Time

During our tastings, we introduce people to the world of premium loose-leaf tea, beyond what folks can buy at the grocery store, with all it’s flavor profiles, aromas, colors and textures. The emphasis of our virtual tea tastings is on the importance of ‘True Tea’ and the versatility of tea.

As the group taste our teas, we will ask folks to describe their own personal tea experiences. This gives an opportunity for others to learn, as we taste together.

We recommend that participants have access to a tea infuser and boiled water during the workshop because we will be steeping the tea together. We will remind participants of proper steeping instructions prior to making the tea.

Spring or filtered hot water (212° & 190°) |  Don’t worry if you don’t have a way to measure water temperature.

Some ideas for your board will include a couple of cheese cubes Gouda/Cheddar cheeses, a fruit tart or muffin, a couple of lemon cookies or a slice of lemon poundcake. A selection of caramels, chocolates (dark chocolate/caramel chocolate) – we recommend Mouth Party Caramels and Godiva individually wrapped chocolates. Also a few pecans/cashews/granola.

Keep in mind, palate cleanser‘s will be very specific to the teas that we’ll taste, but this list is a good start. Palate cleansers ensure that no one taste of the tea overpowers the next. (All of these items can be purchased from local grocery stores.)
