Teapot can be placed directly in the microwave oven or electric stove tops to heat water to brewing temperature (medium level heat is recommended.) The mesh filter and lid are stainless steel and should be removed if used in the microwave. No-spill spout. The filter is easily detachable and makes for easy rinsing and cleaning. Hand washing is recommended.
